I came across some the Balm skincare when I was in TJ Maxx in the US and it struck me that I’d never known the Balm had a skincare brand. the Balm is a brand I more closely associate with makeup, especially their awesome eyeshadows and powder blushes.

The products available at TJ Maxx were very affordable so I decided to give it a try and picked up this White Tea Sunflower Skin Clarifier for normal to combination skin.

It comes in a plastic rubbery bottle that eased my worry about packing it in my luggage. Glass bottles though pretty, tend to be much more fragile during travels.

Ingredients list. Alchohol is very high up the list =(

It supposedly lightens spots and tightens pores.

It’s watery like a normal toner which you can apply using cotton pads. I wanted to like this as it’s from a reputable brand, looks cute and is affordable. However, it stung my face a bit upon application which is a no-no, and the flowery scent was a little too overwhelming for me. I’m chalking this one up to a skincare mis-adventure and this is going to someone else who might enjoy it more.
