Secret Key Snail+EGF Prestige Ampoule
February 19, 2013 at 11:08 pm | Posted in Beauty | 2 CommentsThe snail product craze hasn’t quite gone away since it began a couple of seasons ago, so I suppose it’s here to stay? I for one have found them pretty useful, some more than others of course. I’ve tried a variety of snail products, Nature Republic’s Snail Therapy Face Cream, Ampoule and Eye Cream, and Hanskin’s Snail BB Cream. I was hooked and purchased Secret Key’s Snail+/EGF Prestige Ampoule during my Gmarket Haul #3.

Secret Key is a Korean brand that isn’t very well known outside of Korea, and I don’t think I’ve ever come across an actual counter/shop when I was in Korea. They’ve put out some interesting looking products, and the snail range caught my eye. You can order it from Gmarket here:

This 30ml Snail+EGF Repairing Ampoule has whitening and wrinkle improvement qualities. Snail+EGF products also typically include functions of regeneration, reparation and revitalisation.

The texture is not too thick and sticky and surprisingly easily absorbed. I need only a tiny amount each day/night and it’s light enough to apply during the day as well without any stickiness. After using this for more than a month, twice daily, I noticed a discernible improvement in my skin condition. Breakouts and pimples are now less frequent and generally gone much faster than before, leaving minimal blemishes. For my sensitive, oily/combi, acne-prone skin, this is an obvious improvement. I used this so diligently that after just over two months, I’m almost done with it.
I’d definitely recommend this over the Nature Republic Snail Therapy Ampoule so if anyone is looking for a snail ampoule to order on Gmarket, do check this out, the Secret Key Gmarket store tends to run promotions now and then which are really worth checking out!

Wow Starfish?! I haven’t seen those before! Secret Key tends to follow trends set by other bigger Korean brands, which isn’t a bad thing since they do it decently and are affordable =)
