When one thinks of Sonia Kashuk, it’s probably the brushes that comes to mind first. But as we all know, I usually go for a blush when trying out a new brand. I had the opportunity to make a quick dash to Target when I was in the US earlier, thanks to a dear buddy, and made a beeline to the Sonia Kashuk display. I was immediately drawn to the blushes and decided to pick one up to try.

It comes in a sleek white packaging that’s very handy to tote around.

I went with my first instinct and got 03 Sunset which was the first one of the display to grab my attention.

There’s no mirror or brush attached, which allows the packaging to be so sleek and slim.

03 Sunset is a gorgeous warm coral which is right up my alley, with some very fine golden shimmer for added depth. It’s just barely noticeable though, so no worries about glittery bits.

Swatched in natural light.

This blush is smooth and silky and applies very evenly. It starts out sheer but can easily be layered for intensity. Pigmentation can be easily controlled, which is always a plus.

Swatched in flash light.

For under US$10, this is definitely worth a try though it probably isn’t the most unique shade. The only minor problem I have is that this fades off after about 6 hours (in an air-conditioned office) and maybe about 4-5 hours (outdoors). It’s not the most long-lasting blush I own, but it does last slightly longer if I layer it over a cream blush as a base.

It’s definitely an affordable choice of blush and a lovely colour if you don’t already own something similar =)
