This is a scheduled post

This was given to me by a dear blogger friend when I met up with her in LA last year. She knows my weakness for neutrals =)

Physicians Formula is a drugstore brand that makes great products. Even though it’s one of the higher priced drugstore brands, I always make it a point to check out the brand’s display whenever I’m in the US.

The packaging is simple with a clear plastic compact cover that shows you exactly what you’re buying. Always a good idea for drugstore brands where you can’t really try out the products before buying.

Amber Minerals has four gradating neutral shades, which is fairly idiot-proof to use.

Tucked under the compact is a little compartment with a duo-end applicator and mirror. However, in my experience, these are usually not worth the effort to try and use as they’re tiny and poorly made.

Swatched in natural light.

Swatched in flash light.

The shadows are smooth and pigmented, though a little powdery when swatched, possibly due to it’s mineral based formula. The mixture of matte and pearl finish allows for variety within the quad. It’s a very easy-to-use quad as all the hard work as all the hard work has already been done when they laid out the shades.

Another solid, albeit not very exciting addition to the Physicians Formula lineup of products =)
