We continue in London with a trip to Borough Market.

We got up bright and early on Saturday to make the trip down to Borough Market for breakfast.

We were greeted by the drool-worthy sight of a dazzling array of desserts!

Yummy pies! We succumbed very happily..

Fresh fish for that market feel..

Cute lavendar/blue mushrooms! Looks like something our of Alice from Wonderland..

We got super distracted by this huge pan of paella cooking at a store in the middle of the market. The story lady gave us a taste and it was a tad too salty, but the fresh seafood taste was pretty mouth-watering.

Found this super long-queue coffee place at the back of Borough Market which had been recommended by friends, and naturally as a self-respecting Singaporean, we dutifully joined the queue for my caffeine fix.

After all the food, it was time to walk it off and we decided to stroll across the Millenium Bridge to St Paul’s Cathedral. The sky was just lovely.

Love the gorgeous sunny skies at St Paul’s.

When the skies got gloomy, we headed indoors to the Natural History Museum to check out the dinosaurs.

We also checked out the Victoria & Albert Museum next door, with interesting fashion and pop-culture related exhibits.

And thanks for my friend’s sister who was studying in London, we managed to snag last minute tickets to catch Singin’ in the Rain, which was a wonderful show!

Part 2 ends with me humming the song and getting it stuck in my head.

Stay tuned for more =)

  1. When I visited St. Paul’s, I was lucky enough to hear choir practice. Amazing.

    • Wow Lucky! That must have been such a treat =)

  2. Your pictures are amazing. The food! I hope one day I’ll get to go to Europe too, just that the long flight totally puts my family and I off.

    • It’ll be worth it! the sights are just so gorgeous and you won’t be able to find anything similar in the region!
