The good thing about our time in London was that we had family and friends there, so we had got really good tips and saved on a lot by staying with friends!

My friend’s sister enticed us out early on Sunday morning with a promise of delicious scones. It was well worth the early day out =)

I love the Muffin Man’s quaint little English tea shop feel. It was a great way to enjoy our Sunday morning catching up over delicious scones.

We took the bus to Marble Arch which was the starting point of our Sunday shopping itinerary.

We totally got sucked into Primark and only managed to emerge after a good couple of hours. It’s a shopaholic’s heaven with huge range of extremely affordable clothes! I got a huge bag of stuff for just over £100 and you can even get a tax refund if you’re not an EU resident.

Completely drained after our Primark adventure, we spent the next 2 hours chilling at a cafe waiting for a table at the famed Burger & Lobster, which as the name suggests, only serves burger or lobster. No doubt delicious, but the wait was horrendous, which ruined the experience for me.

We just had to pop into Hummingbird Bakery for their famous cupcakes and to get a couple as a thank-you gift for our friends who had been hosting us in their home.

Early next morning it was time for us to leave London for Paris, and we were going via the Eurostar!

Hello Paris! After a couple of hours on the train, we were glad to finally arrive at Paris Gare du Nord! Being from Singapore were train travel is pretty non-existent (MRTs do not count!) train travel in Europe is always such a fascinating experience.

Our hotel in Paris had the best view! We had such a clear view of the Eiffel Tower from our window that we could lie in bed and enjoy the Eiffel Tower in comfort! It was right next to a Metro station and only a 10-15 min walk from the Eiffel Tower. We spent our nights enjoying the gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower all lit up at night from the warmth and comfort of our hotel room =)

Stay tuned for more sights of Paris!
