As a blush hoarder, I’m ashamed to say this is my first Canmake Cream Cheek. And it was a gift too.. *hangs head in shame*

I have plenty of Canmake Cheek & Cheek Blush Duos, but for some reason, I never picked up any of the cream cheeks. It could be the terrible mark up of the price locally ($18.90), as compared to the retail price in Japan (580yen)..

08 Marshmallow Pink is as the name suggests, a very sweet milky pale pink shade.

It looks like strawberry milk pudding doesn’t it? Definitely looks good enough to eat.

Swatched in natural light.

Swatched in flash light.

As you can see, 08 Marshmallow Pink is a very pale, cool-toned milky pink shade that actually looks more like a highlighter on me than a blush. The texture is very creamy and easy to blend, but with a shade this light, it tends to disappear into a brightening effect after blending. In fact, despite the decent pigmentation, I’ve taken to using this as a cream highlighter instead of a blush, and it works very nicely. This would most likely be because of my medium warm skintone, as I think those with fairer skin will be able to wear this as a blush easily.

This might not have been the perfect shade to start my relationship wit Canmake Cream Cheeks, but it’s decent enough that I might be back for a more suitable shade.
